Gender inequality has been a problem that extends to one of the most important aspects of our society: SCHOOL EDUCATION.

The education system is the context that allows an effective change both at individual and social levels, which is fundamental for the elimination of gender inequalities.

Teachers are the main actors responsible for implementing this elementary function of education, acting as carriers of society’s values and cultural codes.

In this sense, their training through methodologies, innovative approaches and tools that promote a fairer and more inclusive school atmosphere becomes a necessity, namely regarding gender issues.

Teachers need training at the level of behavior and classroom interaction with students, to be able to identify gender bias and, consequently, respond appropriately using learning methodologies and resources.
