In 2022, Portugal will host the international conference

Casa do Professor is now coordinating a project that proposes “the creation of a common pedagogical approach for gender awareness and equality”. Under the name  of T-SHIRT (Tools on Supporting the Figure for Issues of Gender Traditionality and Disparities), the initiative aims to link Portugal to educational institutions in Cyprus, Greece, the United Kingdom and Romania.

The main objective of the T-SHIRT project corresponds to the “training of the teachers, through pedagogies and tools and the sensitization of the students, through new materials and extracurricular activities”.

In this way, over the next few months, “courses on the implementation of gender equality, awareness and spirit of reflection in the classroom” will be promoted; as well as methodologies “to sensitize students to issues of gender perception”; and “digital resources and tools that address the context of a contemporary school system with eLearning platforms, digital courses, recreational content, webinars, among others”.

The institution also states that, in addition to the workshops that will take place in the countries involved, in 2022, Portugal will be the stage for the international conference. During the event, the latest approaches to gender equality  will be presented by researchers and experts.

It should be remembered that the project is coordinated by the Pedagogical Innovation Center of the Casa do Professor and is composed of the CSI – Center for Social Innovation (Cyprus); InnovED – Center for Education and Innovation, University of Thessaly and Xenios Polis, research institution (Greece); INOVA Consultancy LTD (United Kingdom) and from the University of Bucharest (Romania).
